When Russia established diplomatic ties with Asian countries

On November 26-27, Jakarta is hosting a regional conference of the Valdai Discussion Club entitled 'What are Asia's Goals in the Asian Century?'  At the conference, participants are discussing changes in the Asian geopolitical landscape, and prospects for Russia’s involvement in the continent.
