Coubs of the week: Celebrating like a single lady

A web service called Coub, created by Russian IT developers Anton and Igor Gladkoborodov, helps to create loop videos up to 10 seconds long with a soundtrack. It allows old and new videos to be seen from a new angle and to find a new meaning in it. Once a week, RBTH selects the best coubs that depict Russian reality from a different perspective.

If you didn't know yet, Russia is getting ready for the biggest holiday of the spring: International Women’s Day. And you don’t want to mess this one up because you know what they say about Russian women, right? Danger is second nature, and they don’t think twice about stopping a galloping horse, entering a burning village hut or any of the insane things listed below.

For instance, they can have fun with a bear.

Of course, you’re not going to be scared of a cuddly bear if you do this every day:

To cut a long story short, Russian women take care of themselves and their children.

You may think that Russian women are maniacs, but they’re just fooling around.

But mind your head doesn’t start spinning.
