Russia is ready to send an observation mission to the Crimean referendum. The mission will also include representatives of other states, Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matviyenko said.
"The Russian Federation will form a referendum observation group. We will invite colleagues from other countries," Matviyenko answered a media question on Friday.
The Crimean Supreme Council decided on Thursday that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea would become a part of Russia, the Crimean parliament press center said.
A referendum on the status of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has been moved from March 30 to March 16, a source from the Crimean Council of Ministers told Interfax.
