At 5:38 am in Hollywood, the nominations for the Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award were announced. Russia's nomination, Leviathan, by director Andrei Zvygantsev was on the list of five films.
The other nominees are: Ida (Poland); Tangerines (Estonia); Timbuktu (the first ever foreign film nomination from Mauritania) and Wild Tales (Argentina).
The 87th Academy Awards ceremony takes place on February 22, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
