Fashion in 2009: concentrating on grace

As is the tradition, the show attracted both noted designers - such as Arsenicum, Chari, Chistova & Endourova, Cyrille Gassiline, Masha Kravtsova, Katia Mossina, Olga Deffi, Viva Vox and Julia Dalakian - and newcomers. As for fashion trends, spring and summer 2009 promise to offer a wide variety of colours and styles, with ethnic as the prevailing trend.
The debut project that was the sensation at Russian Fashion Week, was a collection designed by the popular rap singer Timaty. The main features of the collection were dark jumpers, down parkas and a range of khaki-coloured clothes and accessories perfectly matched to white Sprandi trainers.

Fashion Week ended, as it usually does, with a Chistova & Endourova show, who this time decided to amaze the spectators by showcasing a range of truly singular outfits somewhat reminiscent of grasshoppers and butterflies.

To summarise, fashionable woman this season will be wearing streamy apparels or, on the contrary, bright form-fitting gowns. What is essential is that the fashion industry still focuses on a truly feminine woman, whose elegance has been for centuries captivating the hearts of men.
