Ascent into the mountains of the Caucasus (video)

Correspondent Irina Pudova begins the tour of the region in a jeep, taking an off-road tour through the Psaho Canyon into a forest of box elder trees. This type of tree is one of the oldest in the world and it grows very slowly, between one and two centimeters a year. The average tree lives more than 500 years.

This program also features a climb through the mountains, including the Chugush, Achishho and Pseashho peaks, followed by paragliding.
