Beluga whales

Russian freediving champion Natalia Avseenko recently took a swim completely naked in the company of two beluga whales. The water temperature during the swim was minus 1.5 degrees Celsius (the temperature of salt water can fall below zero).

Avseenko, 36, had to take off her clothes, because according to sealife experts these animals do not like touching man-made materials such as scuba suits. In addition, clothing interferes with echolocation, which is used by whales to perceive the surrounding world.
