Sand Mandala

Buddhist monks of the Gyudmed Tantric Monastery create a sand Mandala, a religious diagram, in the Kyzyl town, the administrative centre of Russia's Tuva region, some 800 km south of the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, September 12, 2011.

Monks of the Gyudmed Tantric Monastery, based in the city of Mysore, Karnataka state, Southern India, which was founded some 600 years ago in Tibet and is now located in emigration in India, have stayed in Tuva to disseminate Buddhism under the motto "Let's save Tibet".
