Wrocław is a small quiet town in the south of Poland. But it will not be a place to enjoy silence today or any day during the next two weeks, for the town is hosting three Euro-2012 games. The first is taking place tomorrow, when Russia plays the Czech Republic. The fans are already gathering in the town. Dozens of fans wearing national colors and hundreds of regular football fans promenad around the centre of Wrocław and the fan zone, singing, waving flags and drinking beer...lots of beer.
The Wrocław fan zone is situated in Plac Rynek, in the centre of the town. It is large enough for up to 300,000 fans. Inside three are giant displays to show the games.
All the games will be broadcasted live and the fans will be offered snacks and drinks, will have a chance to take part in contests and to play five-on-five football, as well as to listen to local pop stars and dance to fresh DJ sets.
