The dollar gained a bit and the euro slipped amid euro slippage on the Forex market as the MICEX opened for business on Monday, while the ruble rose a bit against the bicurrency basket under the influence of oil-price movement.
The dollar opened at 32.45-32.48 rubles/$1 - averaging 32.46 rubles/$1 in the first minute of trading - which was 3 kopecks over Friday close, but 36 kopecks under the current official exchange rate.
Euro trading began in the neighborhood of 40.97-40.98 rubles/EUR1, or 14-15 kopecks lower than Friday close and 34-35 kopecks lower than the day's official exchange rate.
The bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) slipped 3 kopecks to 36.31 rubles.
