Natural resources became advantage which can turn into threat to APEC countries economies

The development of the mining industry is one of the priorities of the APEC countries, according to Georgy Kalamanov, Russia’s the deputy minister of industry and trade. According to Kalamanov, global economic growth has increased demand for all types of minerals and metals. At the same time, the APEC economies drive the world markets for these commodities because they are both the largest producers and consumers of raw minerals.

Russia has suggested developing the mining sector through increased investment into the mining industry and metallurgy and to develop new innovations in this sphere to increase productivity.
