Leading Indian entrepreneur in Moscow talks about business in Russia

Sammy Kotwani dispels myths and stereotypes about conditions in Russia and talks about building business in the country.

Sammy Kotwani, owner of the Imperial Trading Company, is also the president of the Indian Business Alliance, Moscow. One of the best known tailors in the world, his entry into the fashion world began when he was a teenager. After getting is fashion degrees from India, Kotwani completed his education in London and has never looked back since.

Imperial’s tailors take more than 20 measurements before making the best fitting suit for a clientele that includes Nursultan Nazarbaev, President of Kazakhstan and Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, President of the Russian Republic of Kalmykia.

In this interview, he talks about building business in Russia, a country that is so often misunderstood by the business community in India.
