Criteria must be devised in Russia for protecting intellectual property rights

Criteria for the protection of intellectual property rights must be devised in Russia as soon as possible, President Vladimir Putin said.

"The problem is, we must protect our intellectual property rights more effectively. Criteria for protecting intellectual property rights must be worked out," Putin told North Ossetia head Taimaraz Mamsurov and representatives of the local public.

Putin was responding to Ossetian Motor and Tractor Electrical Equipment Plant General Director Alan Diambekov's compliant about the situation on the market and competition with Chinese companies. "Could the government help solve this problem, given that it is also experienced by other companies?" he said. "You are right, of course. This problem affects the whole of the Russian economy," Putin said.
