Tens of thousands of Russian citizens will watch the London Olympic Games, with the opening ceremony to be held on Friday evening, Denis Keefe, charge d'affaires at the British Embassy in Moscow, said on Friday.
Tens of thousands of Russian citizens will visit the Olympic Games, given that about 1,000 visas have been issued to Russian applicants each day since May, Keefe said.
Thousands of people will take part in a bell-ringing action on Friday morning all over Britain and outside its borders in a final countdown to the 30th Olympic Games, using their mobile phones and whatever rings.
The opening ceremony in London will start with the ringing of the largest bell in Europe, cast specially for the occasion.
