Alexei Denisenko scored a narrow win over Australia's Safwan Khalil to claim Olympic bronze for Russia in the men's flyweight taekwondo competition on Wednesday.
Denisenko, a European championships quarterfinalist this year, took the bout 3-1, attacking well in the first round and defending for the remaining two, which were drawn.
Khalil got to the second round of the world championships in Korea last year.
