The Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival will take place on Moscow’s Red Square on September 1-8, 2012.
In accordance with the tradition the opening of the Festival in 2012 will be held within the framework of the Days of the City of Moscow. Traditional participants include State Honor Guards and foreign military bands from Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Poland Singapore, France and The Crossed Swords Pipes & Drums band from European Union. This year’s event will coincide with the 200th anniversary of Russian victory in the War of 1812 and will be accompanied by reading Pushkin, Lermontov and Derzhavin poems. The poems will be read by Alla Demidova, Honored Artist of Russia. Guests can expect a great show that will include marching bands and classical music, lasers and fireworks.
