Medvedev gives Roscosmos one month to mend its ways

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has given federal space agency Roscosmos four weeks to devise a quality control products, manufactured by the space industry.

"You will keep me updated on the situation and on concrete measures to improve the quality of the space industry's performance, and on the content and organizational aspects of Roscosmos's work. Control over the quality of products remains among the most acute problems," Medvedev told Roscosmos chief Vladimir Popovkin at a meeting on the Russian space industry's performance on Tuesday.

The government must go into these two issues in detail within the coming month, he said.

"And then I will meet with representatives of all key space-industry companies," he said, adding that "decisions of a different sort will also be made."
