Investigative Committee keeps running investigation on three wanted on suspicion of attacks on Tatarstan Muslim leaders

The Investigative Committee department for Tatarstan is searching for three residents of Tatarstan adhering to a radical Islamic teaching on suspicion of organizing a number of especially grave crimes, including murders and a terrorist attack, the department reported on Wednesday.

The investigation has revealed that these people played a role in the recent assassination attempt on Tatarstan Mufti Ildus Faizov and the killing of Tatarstan Muslim Board educational department head Valiulla Yakupov, it said.

"Earlier reports mentioned two people, Rais Mingaleyev and Robert Valeyev. Now Albert Ismagilov has been added to these two," Andrei Sheptitsky, an aide to the chief of the Investigative Committee department for Tatarstan, told Interfax.
