Criminal charges may be brought against the leader of the United Civil Front Garri Kasparov who was detained on Friday outside of Khamovnichesky court in Moscow, a source in law enforcement told Interfax on Saturday.
The source said that a criminal case under Article 318 of the Criminal Code (violence against a representative the authorities) may be launched against Kasparov for biting a police officer's hand during detention
The source said that similar charges may be brought against one more detainee who sprayed gas at police officers.
The source said that a total of 97 people were detained outside of Khamovnichesky court between 3:30 and 9:15 p.m. on Friday. The police issued acts of violating the rules of holding public actions against 62 detainees and of disobedience to the police against two more. All others were given counseling.
