Russia & India Report presents a video devoted to the nothern city of Arkhangelsk and the International Festival of street theatres which is held there. In this episode you can see Indian Milon Mela band presenting the magnificent art of authentic dance.
The show suggests different cultural traditions of India. Milon Mela troupe includes the religious singers from Bengali, the martial artists from Jarkana, the temple dancers from Gotipura and Chau.
Normally, it is almost impossible to see them all together on the stage, but thanks to Abani Biswas who had united them within Milon Mela troupe, the citizens of Arkhangelsk could feel the sacred vibrations of ancient Indian rhythms, colors and sounds.
