Russia's spending on APEC chairmanship 15 Bln rubles - Shuvalov

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov has put expenditure for Russia's chairmanship of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), which the country took over in January, at about 15 billion rubles.

Shuvalov told Dozhd (Rain) television that all the "huge" sums that are named in connection with the current APEC summit in Vladivostok "are all for the Primorye territory," the region where Vladivostok is the administrative center.

A local natural gas pipeline has cost more than 300 billion rubles to lay, but that serves the region's own needs, he said.
