RETECH is a continuation of the Washington International Energy Conference (WIREC), which in 2008 was the largest business-to-business and business-to-government conference on all-renewable energy, with speakers and delegates from 126 different countries. Since 2008, MARBC has continued its participation as a supporting organization of RETECH/WIREC and is working to expand the participation of Russian delegations and to develop Russian business exposition.
As part of RETECH 2011, Val Kogan, the MARBC’s president, served as a member of RETECH’s Advisory Committee and moderated a panel on "Opportunities for Foreign Companies within the Regions of the USA". The MARBC also organized a Russian delegation that came to RETECH that included representatives from the Kirov Region and representatives of Russian entrepreneurial companies.
