A delegation of the United Russia party will visit China in December for talks with the new leadership of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party's Central Committee, Boris Gryzlov, the United Russian party's Supreme Council head, told the press on Tuesday.
"We are planning to visit China in December by agreement with the Chinese side," Gryzlov said.
"The Politburo is expected to be seriously reconfigured in China next week. We will meet in December with the new leadership elected at the Communist Party congress and we will discuss our further cooperation," Gryzlov said.
International cooperation was discussed on Tuesday by the Bureau of the United Russia party's Supreme Council, Gryzlov said. A plan for the party's international contacts for November and December was confirmed, he said.
United Russia maintains broad contacts with leading parties in other countries and parties laying claims to a leading role, and has signed more than 30 agreements on international cooperation, Gryzlov said.
"Meetings will be held in the coming two months with representatives of the Democratic Rally Party in Cyprus and an inter-party agreement will be signed in November," he said.
A delegation of the United Russia party will travel to Vietnam. Active contacts with the party's Eurasian allies, including Belarus and Kazakhstan, will be discussed, too, Gryzlov said.
