Indonesian company Sky Aviation has signed an agreement worth $380 million with Russia's CJSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft for financing the delivery of 12 Sukhoi SuperJet-100 (SSJ-100) airliners, the Russian company's vice-president Igor Syrtsov told journalists at the IndoDefense Air Show on Wednesday.
"An agreement was signed today with Sky Aviation to finance the delivery of aircraft," he said.
Syrtsov added that the financing will be made through Vnesheconombank (VEB). The Indonesian company has ordered 12 SSJ-100 airliners, the first of which will be delivered by year's end. It was earlier reported that Sukhoi Civil Aircraft signed an agreement with VEB to finance the export of SSJ-100s, in the framework of which VEB is ready to provide up to $2.5 billion in operational financing. Sukhoi Civil Aircraft currently has over 170 confirmed orders for this type of airliner.
