Putin hopes to continue constructive cooperation with Obama

Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes that constructive cooperation between Moscow and Washington will continue following Barack Obama's reelection as president of the United States.

"I expect joint constructive steps to be taken both to make progress on all issues on the bilateral agenda and resolve acute international and regional problems. Cooperation between Russia and the U.S. is crucial to maintaining the stability and security of the world\'s development," Putin said in a message to Obama.

"Our relations have achieved quite sizeable results in recent years. But there is a whole range of tasks for us to tackle before we prove able to realize the full potential of our mutually beneficial cooperation," he said.
