Russian President Vladimir Putin has conveyed condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Muhammad Mursi on numerous deaths in a collision of a bus and a train in Egypt.
Putin said in a message to Mursi that he would like to express his "deep condolences on a transport disaster near the city of Asyut, in which dozens of children and adults were killed or injured," the Kremlin press service said.
The latest reports indicate that the collision killed at least 47 people, most of whom are children who were traveling in the bus.
