U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has promised that the U.S. administration will hammer out guarantees against seizures of Russian intellectual property in the United States, according to a Russian newspaper.
Clinton made the promise during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the fringes of a recent East Asia Summit in Phnom Penh, Moscow daily Kommersant said on Saturday, citing a source in the Russian delegation to the summit.
The press attache at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Joseph Kruzich, confirmed to Kommersant that there are U.S.-Russian talks underway in seeking a solution to the problem. Kruzich said the two countries are looking for a way to resume cultural exchanges between them.
