Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, Foreign Ministry speak on visits of high-ranking officials

The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee and the Russian Foreign Ministry have held the first briefing for foreign diplomats accredited in Moscow.

The briefing at the ministry's press center attended by representatives of more than 90 embassies was dedicated to the rules of visits of high-ranking foreign officials to the Games in consistency with the requirements of the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee, the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee reports.

The diplomats received detailed information about various aspects of the organization of visits of foreign chiefs of state, prime ministers and sport ministers to the Sochi Games, including accreditation, arrivals and departures, accommodation, transfers and attendance of ceremonies and competitions.

The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee team for liaison with high-ranking foreign representatives and the formula of further inaction with the Committee were presented to the embassies.

A number of similar briefings will be held before the Games.
