Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in connection with the Connecticut massacre has declared his principled opposition to the free circulation of arms.

"A horrible tragedy. Impossible pain… I fully agree with those who are opposed to the free circulation of arms. And this is my principled position," he wrote on Facebook.
Twenty seven people, including 20 children, died in an elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, last Friday. Media reported earlier that Adam Lanza, 20, first shot his mother at home. Then, armed with several firearms, he drove to the nearby school and shot and killed 20 children and six adults before turning his gun on himself.
On Saturday Medvedev sent message of condolences regarding the tragedy to U.S. President Barack Obama.
