Innocence of Muslims film added to Russian Justice Ministry's ban list

The Innocence of Muslims notorious film has been added to the Russian Justice Ministry's official ban list.

The film branded extremist has No1589. The ministry website said that the film was added to the ban list under a decision of the Moscow Tverskoi District Court of October 1, 2012.

The court pronounced extremist the anti-Islamic film, which had been aired online and caused violent protests in many countries. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office demanded a ban on the film's distribution in Russia.

A psychological and linguistic analysis of the film done by demand of prosecutors confirmed that "the film content targeted religious hate and discrimination by nationality and religion."

The prosecutors appealed to court because of "the film's video images and narrative presenting Islam and its followers as flawed," the report said.
