Russia to give Indonesia first Sukhoi Superjet 100

The company Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA) and the Indonesian airline Sky Aviation have signed a certificate of acceptance for the first Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane, the SCA press service reported.

"The plane (numbered 95022) is scheduled to fly from Ulyanovsk to the Indonesian base in January 2013. That's when the airline plans to begin commercial operation of the Sukhoi Superjet 100," a report obtained by Interfax-AVN on Saturday says.

The report states that the airliner fully meets the stated flight and technical characteristics, is ready for flight operations and commercial flights according to Sky Aviation timetable.

"The Indonesian aviation authorities earlier validated the type certificate for the Sukhoi Superjet 100. The type certificate validation certifies the compliance of the SSJ100 with the certification requirements of the Indonesian aviation authorities and allows export to Indonesia and operation by the country's airlines without any restrictions," the press service reported.

The regional 100-seat new generation Sukhoi Superjet 100 was developed and produced by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft with assistance from Alenia Aermacchi. The plane made its first flight on May 19, 2008. The flight range is 3,048 km for the basic version and 4,578 km for the expanded range version.
