On Sunday, Vitalina Batsarashkina won silver in 10m air pistol women’s shooting at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Russia’s women archery team also won silver. Timur Safin of Russia won the bronze medal in men’s foil individual. Natalia Kuziutina secured the bronze Olympic medal in women -52kg judo contest.
On Saturday, a 30-year-old judoka Beslan Mudranov defeated Yeldos Smetov of Kazakhstan on the first day of the Olympic competitions in the under 60 kg weight category and grabbed the first Olympic gold for Russia.
