Bangkok and Moscow are exploring an agreement where Thailand will export more food products to Russia and purchase Russian military equipment in return, Thai Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwon told reporters before meeting Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev in Bangkok.

According to the general, the agreement will not be a simple exchange but a series of commercial deals.

Wongsuwon said Thailand is interested in buying special firefighting aircraft (learn more about the Be-200 aircraft) and equipment to tackle natural disasters.
