WorldSkills International to meet in Moscow on Oct. 28-31

WorldSkills International (WSI) is an international nonprofit organization that was established in 1946. Its goal is to increase the status and standards of vocational training and qualification worldwide.  Russia entered WSI in 2012, having become its 60th member state.

A board of directors’ session will be carried out on Oct. 29-30, to be devoted to the future of vocational training and working professions. The purpose of the session is to reveal trends that will need to be considered in the development strategy of the WorldSkills movement, as well as to define the further evolution of competitions in professional craftsmanship. 

Guest speakers are also scheduled to deliver a lecture on the system of vocational training in Britain and the real role of WSI in the development of business and innovations.

The board of directors' meeting will be held in the new Tochka Kipeniya venue of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives (2nd Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, 14/15, Building 3).

The day after the board of directors’ session, the Open Championship of Moscow WorldSkills Russia will begin in Moscow.
