InvestRus International Conference for Growth of Investments in Russia

On 14–15 April 2016, Moscow will host the third InvestRus International Conference for Growth of Investments in Russia. This key State Duma economic event is this year dedicated to the 110th anniversary of parliamentary government in Russia.

The InvestRus Conference is held under the auspices of the Investment Council under the Chairman of the State Duma and with the support of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Russian Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC).

The objective of InvestRus is to analyse legal compliance practices and develop recommendations for improving the standards and regulations currently in place in order to foster investment supply and demand in Russia.

Key issues on the InvestRus 2016 agenda:

• Legislative support for attracting investment
• Identifying new sources and types of financing for investment projects
• The investment climate in Russia
• The investment appeal of the Eurasian Economic Union

At the end of the InvestRus conference, an analytical review on securing growth of investments in Russia will be published. The review will be presented by Speaker of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin.

InvestRus participants will have a unique opportunity to submit their proposals and recommendations on improving Russia’s investment appeal for inclusion in the final review.

The InvestRus business programme is scheduled to include:

• A meeting between Speaker of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin and international business representatives
• A St. Petersburg International Economic Forum session entitled “Russia’s regions: new areas of growth”

Conference participants traditionally include representatives of federal and regional legislative and executive bodies, foreign chambers of commerce and business missions, heads of multinational corporations and leading Russian companies, banks, consulting firms, insurance companies, law firms, investment companies, and leading experts and analysts.
