Russia's economic benefit gained from GLONASS projects exceeds $25 864 billion

The economic benefit gained from the use of GLONASS technology in Russia is estimated at over $25 864 billion, annually, said President of the GLONASS noncommercial partnership Alexander Gurko.

"The economic benefit gained form launching GLONASS projects in various sectors is estimated at more than $25 864 billion, annually," Gurko said at a press briefing in Moscow on Monday.

The GLONASS/GPS dual-system know-how has almost supplanted gear based on the GPS alone, he said. "More than 90 percent of the market use GLONASS/GPS dual-system equipment," he said.
