English speaking Moscow community WowLocal and Moscow Free Tour project organize the free bike tour in Gorky Park on the 1st of May. This activity will be one of the numerous initiatives to promote city’s culture and history to Moscow guests who don’t speak Russian language.
The idea of Gorky Park bike tour is to show that Gorky Park is more than just a public space. There is a huge history behind the new infrastructure. During the route you will discover the history of famous Russian aristocratic families and see where they lived. You will find out that many important things which will later expand in the city had started in Gorky Park: the first open air theater, first hippodrom and botanical garden.
Everyone who speaks English, Moscow guests and its citizens, are invited to discover the Gorky Park behind the scenes. To travel long distances of the park the organizers offer the cycling trip with stops for telling the stories.
Time: 3pm. Duration: 2,5 hours

Admission: Free (suggested donation to support the project)
You’re welcome to bring your own bike, or hire one from Bosco bike rental in the Park itself. Skateboarders, rollers and runners are also welcome.
