“Culture beyond borders” concert at the Town Hall, NYC

International project “Culture beyond borders” is a project that was created at the Solomon Mikhoels International Cultural Centre in Moscow, sponsored by UNESCO.

The project aims to promote and foster intercultural dialogue through the creation of artistic programs and a series of concerts thru February 2014 the date of the 25th anniversary of the Cultural Centre. Masterpieces of classical music, choreography and songs drawn from an international repertoire and original creations will be interpreted by a selection of artists in more than a dozen of countries - from Europe to America north through Israel.

The artists participating in the Town Hall concert are: the Soloists of Russia Orchestra under the direction of conductor Misha Katz (France), with violinists, Liana Isakadze (Georgia-Germany), and Ilian Garnet (Romania,R.Moldova), clarinetist,  Julian Milkis (Canada), singers: Svetlana Portnyanskaya (USA) and Jakov Javno (USA).

The concert will feature a multi-media presentation composed of fragments of the performances and Projects of the Solomon Mikhoels International Culture Center, International Foundation "UNITY", documentary footage, archive materials, masterpieces of the world cinema. The respected Russian artist Irina Goryunova wrote and directed the production, and the People`s Artist of Russia, Michael Gluz, produced the production.

Admission free. Concert wiil take place at the Town Hall (located at 123 West 43rd Street, between 6th Avenue & Broadway, New York, NY 10036).
