Bakhrushin Theater Museum’s costumes to be presented in U.S.

Moscow’s Bakhrushin Theater Museum is to present an exhibition titled “Costume at the Turn of the Century. 1990-2015” at the USITT (United States Institute for Theater Technology) annual exposition and conference in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 16-19.

USITT Show is one of the most important worldwide events for professionals in the field of theater, design and performing arts and entertainments.

Project curator Igor Roussanoff, an artist, producer and professor at the University of North Carolina, will introduce the exhibition, which displays theatrical costumes from around the world made in the last 25 years, uniting more than 1,200 works by theater artists from 30 countries.

The “Costume at the Turn of the Century: 1990–2015” exhibition was held in the halls of the main building of the A. A. Bakhrushin Theater Museum in Moscow last year and sparked large interest among the professional theater community.

The exhibition is planned to be held in China later this year.
