The Stanford U.S.-Russia Forum

The Stanford U.S.-Russia Forum (SURF) is now accepting applications for its 2016-17 program. SURF is a platform for Russian and American university students to work together on some of the most important issues our nations face today.

Participants travel to Russia for a five-day conference in the fall, conduct collaborative research with their working group peers over the academic year, and ultimately present their work at a capstone conference at Stanford University in the spring. Research themes include topics in international relations, the sciences, business and entrepreneurship, regional and humanitarian issues, and others.

The application deadline is May 15th, 2016 at 23:59 PDT. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage candidates to apply early. SURF welcomes applications from graduate, professional, and undergraduate students in all academic disciplines and majors, regardless of prior exposure to Russia or the United States.
