Study EU Country Ranking 2017 evaluated 30 European countries based on several parameters: education, cost, and life & career.

Russia ranked 6th out of 30 European countries as the best place for international students, only giving way to Germany, the U.K., the Netherlands, France and Sweden, according to the newly published Study.EU Country Ranking 2017.

"It’s not surprising that Russia scores so high in this year's ranking. Russian universities enjoy a remarkable reputation worldwide. Recent efforts of internationalizing its higher education have been paying off, and students now have many options to choose from," said Gerrit Bruno Blöss, the CEO of Study.EU.

The Study.EU Country Ranking addresses the specific needs of students seeking high-quality, accessible and affordable education abroad. Based on a range of carefully selected factors, countries were given scores in three areas: Education, Cost, and Life & Career.

Blöss shared his positive outlook with RBTH: "We would not be surprised if Russia makes it into the top 5 in next year's ranking. With its 'Project 5-100,' to internationalize and improve its academic competitiveness, Russia has an edge over other European countries."
