Ria Novosti/Maxim BlinovThe Iranian airline, Mahan Air, will begin direct flights between Moscow and Tehran from January 21 once a week, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei said.
"It is expected that the current process of expanding ties between Iran and Russia, as well as the newly emerged spheres and possibilities will result in a rise in the number of flights between the capitals, regions of the two countries in the future," Sanaei posted in his blog on Jan. 14.
He said that the number of flights will reach two flights a week from February 20.
Another Iranian airline Iran Air resumed its flights to Moscow after a pause of several years last year.
