Villagers from an island in the Irkutsk Region invent new ways of crossing the river (VIDEO)

When the Irkut River burst its banks in 1973, the ‘Kazachy Luga’ island was created. Since then the locals have been forced to cross its waters every time they want something from the shops on the mainland. During the summer they use a boat, but for the rest of the year they need to be a little more cunning.
