Run for Fun: Russian High Heels Running Competition

The Russian Annual High Heels Running Competition organized by the «Glamour» magazine was held in Moscow early in July. This race is a friendly worldwide competition, conducted in cities with a high percentage of young fashion-loving girls (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Murmansk). This year nearly one hundred and fifty people have participated in the Moscow contest. Most of them have a competitive spirit, willingness to spend their free time gleefully and longing to win а multitude of entertaining prizes. All they have to do is run a short distance wearing stiletto heels, which is not as easy as it sounds. The original idea of such a contest was borrowed from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where it was very popular.
