The ceremony to launch Sochi.Park has taken place in Kensington Gardens, London. During the London 2012 Olympics, Sochi.Park will showcase preparations for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. Journalists were treated to an exclusive preview, as they were taken on a virtual trip to Sochi and shown the many aspects of the major project that constitutes Sochi 2014.
Sochi Park is one of two venues at the overall site called Russia.Sochi.Park. and its visually staggering displays encompass Russian culture, traditions, sport and innovation, all as part of the "Journey to Sochi" concept in which a number of themed zones are presented.
