What really angers Russians

Research by sociologists indicates that Russians accept the death penalty more readily than they tolerate gays and lesbians, while the downsides of tax evasion are ranked alongside the risks of betting at a casino.

To the Russian mind, the worst acts of immorality are abandoning a child, suicide, and homosexuality. The results of the survey came as little surprise to experts, although they remain open to a number of different interpretations.
