Folk Box: Entsy and Selcupy

Each week Olga Shapovalova offers to folk music lovers a multicoloured display of customs and traditions, legends and tales, melodies and rythms of Russia. 

We are going to acquaint you with some quite unique peoples – the Selcupy and Entsy. Both originate from the ancient Kulaksk culture, the 5th century B.C. They were born in Siberia, only today the Secupy occupy its western part, while the Entsy live in the extreme north, on Taimyr peninsula.
