Novosibirsk: frostbound capital of Siberia

The first man on the Moon, American astronaut Neil Armstrong, visited Novosibirsk with a special purpose – to collect a handful of soil from outside the house which was the home and workplace for one of the pioneers in cosmonautics – Yuri Kondratyuk, the author of the scheme of a spaceship flight to the Moon which was used in the Apollo program.
