Pussy Riot member's appeal rejected by the court

In this image from video provided by APTN, jailed feminist punk band Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina, center left, is escorted to a court room in a town of Berezniki, some 1500 km (940 miles) north-east of Moscow, Russia, on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013. The court rejected Pussy Riot member’s appeal to defer her sentence. Alyokhina was convicted last year along with two other band members of hooliganism motivated by religious hatred for an anti-President Vladimir Putin stunt in Russia’s main cathedral. Source: AP.
