After a five-month gap, Klyuchevskaya Sopka Volcano on Kamchatka has began erupting, Olga Girina, the Head of Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Group of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, told Interfax.
Kluchevskaya Sopka is a volcano in the east of Kamchatka. Formed around 7000 years ago, it is the highest active volcano on the Eurasian continent at a height of 4.7 km above sea level.
